Robots that must work in the real world require some way to manipulate objects: pick up, modify, destroy, or otherwise cause an effect. Thus the 'hands' of a robot are often referred to as end effectors, while the arm is referred to as a manipulator.
Honeybee Robotics has over 25 years of experience developing advanced manipulators and end-effectors for critical applications in unstructured and often hostile environments. Whether they are designed for a specific task or more general purposes, our manipulators and end-effectors are designed to be compact, powerful and reliable. Scale and design is driven by our customers' applications, which range from manipulating drills on other planets to enabling precise placement of surgical instruments for robotic surgery.
